2. District One Leads NATA-REF Foundation Contributions
I want to thank and congratulate District One NATA-REF Chair Charlie Redmond and the entire District One Membership for their efforts on behalf of the Foundation. Charlie excitedly reported to me that our District was the leading District in the NATA for contributions made to the Research and Education Foundation for 2006, achieving 168% of the District's goal for the year, raising $14,094.
Three times as many District members made voluntary contributions and the amount raised was almost doubled as compared to 2005. Both Charlie and I wish to thank individual members, the District, State Associations, Athletic Training Education Programs others for your commitment to the NATA-REF. Special thanks to the CATA (Connecticut) and VAAT (Vermont), who have already made contributions for 2007.
Charlie reminds everyone that "it is not the amount of the contribution, but the involvement that demonstrates our support and commitment to the future of our profession". www.natafoundation.org
