Welcome
to the District One web site! District One is the home of over
2000 certified athletic trainers who are committed to quality health
care throughout New England. I encourage you to be pro-active and
to get involved!
Your
District dues afford you membership in your State Association.
Please go to your State web page to learn about your own state’s
leadership, legislative practice acts and upcoming clinical meetings.
Our
District, along with District Two, unites to become the Eastern
Athletic Trainers’
Association. The EATA was the forefather to the NATA, and has led the country
in establishing a dynamic clinical symposium every January, outstanding research
and scholastic opportunities for its members and a special interest in the
students of the District.
CEU
opportunities are plentiful through your State or District meetings.
Web page notices and e-blast mailings from me (Notes from Stoney)
and other District officers will keep you apprised of District
and National happenings. Communication is the byword of our District.
You can always find info on the District website, the EATA web
site or the NATA site.
District
One is your District. We support all members in a variety of work
settings through representation on 21 standing NATA committees.
The District officers and the six State Presidents are always available
to listen to you and help in any manner.
The
history and tradition of District One encompasses over 50 years
of service, 14 living NATA Hall-of-Famers who still call District
One home, and 23 CAAHEP-approved colleges and universities that
educate future athletic trainers every day. Our tradition marks
the foundation of our present as we look to the future!
