Hi Folks- Hope all is well and hoping to see you in Philly…
Congratulations go out to Carl Krein for being the first inductee into the CATA Hall of Fame…to Sean Cox, recipient of the NHATA Distinguished Service Award…to the following 2010 MATA Award Winners…Bill Cox Service Award- Tim Weston; Wes Jordan Scholarship- Eric Daniels-U of New England…Mike Linkovich Award- John Ryan; Carl Nelson Scholarship- Olga Ndoci- U of New England
This is my next-to-last “Notes” to you, as Paul will take over the reins next Tuesday in Philly…I will send out a final epistle next week, as a reflection on my term...I’ll be at Wally Collins Booth (Number 1545) on Wednesday, June 23rd from 1:00-2:00 pm…please stop by and say “Hi”…as I will do many times, thanks to my past officers- Tim, Paul, Joe and Gail…for all that they have done for the District and for me…and now- the news…

I am pleased that the proposed by-law revisions on term limits for District Secretary and Treasurer passed, 295-7…formal ratification will be done at the District Meeting at NATA-Philly 2010…thanks to all who voted.

It’s a busy time of year for several states working on legislation…go to your state websites and check what’s going on…contact your state officers…Connecticut has passed SB 456 on athlete care and concussions…Massachusetts is hitting Beacon Hill working on a concussion bill… …Maine continues to incorporate its’ high schools into the IMPACT concussion program…stay informed!
