In Memoriam

Patrick Baker

It is with great sorrow that we share this news. University of Maine at Presque Isle lost a beloved member of its community with the unexpected passing of Patrick Baker. Pat served as UMPI's Head Athletic Trainer since 2011. Pat was also a proud UMPI graduate, receiving his degree in Athletic Training in 2008.

Throughout his time at UMPI as both a student and a professional, he touched the hearts of so many. A true friend, he was constantly spreading laughter throughout the athletic department, whether he was quoting a movie or telling a perfectly timed joke. All will miss him. Our thoughts, especially, are with his daughter, Zoey and the rest of the Baker family.

Per the Baker family's request, donations can be made in Patrick's memory to UMPI Athletics. Donations can be sent to ATTN Deborah Roark, 181 Main Street, Presque Isle, ME 04769 or online at
